Sponsorship Opportunities
The size and nature of this event attracts media attention throughout the State.
Lion's Club representatives generally appear on local television shows the week
prior to the event. Several mentions are also made during the news reports on
local channels.
Radio coverage is excellent as well. A guest appearance on WPRO-AM during the
morning show produces excellent results, as do public service announcements on
many other local stations. Extensive pre-event coverage is provided by local
stations, as are live broadcasts on Saturday from the Blessing itself as well as
the Seafood Festival.
A news advisory for calendar listings is sent to Rhode Island newspapers and
Chambers of Commerce in the spring (a copy of the advisory and distribution
lists are attached). This is followed by a number of news releases leading up to
the event. Coverage is generated statewide, and generally includes prominent
articles in the Providence Journal, the Narragansett Times and the South County
Independent.
